Wrocław's Winning Family

 

Wrocławska Wygrana Rodzina is a project implemented in partnership by:

 

  • Municipal Social Welfare Center in Wrocław (Local Social Work Team No. 3 and No. 5)
  • Critical Education Association,
  • Stowarzyszenie Żółty Parasol and Partners,
  • Fundacja Ładne Historie.

 

The project is aimed at families living in Wrocław from: Przedmieście Oławskie, Osiedle Plac Grunwaldzki and Ołbin.

 

We will support 16 families experiencing care and educational problems and who are at risk of generational social exclusion.

We will focus primarily on strengthening family competencies both within the family and in the local community. All families participating in the project will benefit from the support of a family assistant. They will also have access to the services of numerous other specialists, including psychologists, educators, a child and youth mentor, animators, social and parenting skills trainers, and a community outreach specialist.

 

We are committed to strengthening areas important for families raising children, including family communication, education in the context of mental health and future planning, self-esteem and talent development, and broadly understood addiction prevention.

The tasks will be implemented through such forms of support as:

 

For whole families:

 

Basic package:

  • Family assistant support
  • Child and Youth Development Mentor Support
  • Support from a community animator
  • Support from a specialist in environmental work
  • Psychologist support
  • Off-site workshops to start and finish the project core package:
    • Let's get to know each other as unique and exceptional people – 3 days
    • Education in values and planning for the future, i.e. scenarios written by the family – 5 days
  • Family Communication Workshop

 

Extended package:

For parents:

 

Basic package:

  • A block of workshops in the area of communication
  • Individual communication consulting
  • Safe Home Workshop
  • Family circle meetings

 

Extended package:

  • Workshop Block on Parenting Skills
  • Individual counseling in the field of parenting skills
  • Assertive Parent Workshop
  • Teen Workshop – the path to adulthood
  • Prevention workshops on counteracting domestic violence, addiction prevention and sex education
  • Individual advice in this field
  • Financial education workshops
  • First aid workshops

 

For children and teenagers:

 

Basic package:

  • Workshops on improving social competences for children and youth
  • Mental health education

 

Extended package:

  • Career counseling for children and youth
  • Psychological support
  • Psychiatric support
  • Development of talents of children and youth
  • Laboratories for children and teenagers

 

As part of the project, family vouchers have been planned for families that will achieve 90% attendance in the tasks of the basic package.

We would like to inform you about the possibility of reporting to the Managing Authority any suspicions of non-compliance of the Project "Future Written by Family" no. FERS.05.01-IZ.00-0054/24 or the Beneficiary's activities with the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, done in New York on 13 December 2006 (Journal of Laws of 2012, item 1169, as amended), hereinafter referred to as "KPON".

 

Who can report?

Signals, reports or complaints regarding the occurrence of non-compliance of FERS grant projects with the provisions of KPON may be submitted by individuals (participants in grant projects or their proxies and representatives), institutions participating in the implementation of European Union funds and the social side (associations, foundations).

 

How to submit an application?

The application can be submitted via (in each of the following cases the application is deemed to have been submitted in writing):

  • traditional mail – in the form of a letter to the address of the ministry: Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy, ul. Wspólna 2/4, 00-926 Warsaw,
  • e-PUAP outbox of the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy.

 

KPON aims to improve the situation of people with disabilities by enabling them to effectively enjoy all human rights and fundamental freedoms on an equal basis with others. It was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 2006 and entered into force in 2008. Poland ratified the Convention in 2012.

The project is co-financed by the European Union.

The Managing Authority is the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy.

The project will be completed in April 2027.

Recruitment for the project will start in March 2025.
