This is a series of meetings with representatives of the creative sector and the artistic community, held between 2017 and 2020. These inspiring lectures were divided into thematic sections, presenting the most interesting trends in the Polish creative community to a wider audience.
We held our first meetings as part of the project in Świdnica in 2017, and since then we have organized "Art Lessons" there every year. In 2018, we visited Wrocław, organizing a series of meetings at the Reception Club and Cafe, and a year later we visited Legnica and Jelenia Góra. In 2020, the project took place in three Lower Silesian cities: Świdnica, Wrocław, and Jelenia Góra.
The world of culture and art encompasses many dynamically changing and intertwining areas, which we explored together with participants in subsequent editions of "Art Lessons." These include design and its various manifestations, urban art and outdoor activities, new media and audiovisual narratives, DIY culture and manufacturing, as well as graphic design and its role in shaping urban culture.
From the outset, our guiding principle in creating "Art Lessons" was accessible culture and enabling Deaf people to participate in the cultural life of their cities. We provided Polish Sign Language interpretation during most of the meetings we held as part of the project.
