Local Activity Center

The Plac Grunwaldzki OD NOWA Local Activity Center is a place dedicated to residents of the Plac Grunwaldzki housing estate in Wrocław. Our activities are open to people of all ages – children and youth, adults, and seniors. The Center is a space for building and deepening neighborhood bonds, supporting grassroots initiatives, organizing volunteer programs, and engaging individuals and groups who, for various reasons, are excluded or inactive.

 

A welcoming space awaits you here, where you can discuss the neighborhood, learn about interesting events nearby, participate in community activities, and even implement your own initiatives. Our team welcomes your ideas and is always ready to support your endeavors! We are an LGBTQ+-friendly place – you'll feel right at home here. You can bring your pet along – a bowl of water is always available. The center is also open to people who have come to Wrocław from Ukraine – we work with Ukrainian-speaking individuals, and a growing number of our events are geared specifically towards this community.

The activities of the Local Activity Centre in the Plac Grunwaldzki housing estate are carried out thanks to funding from the Municipality of Wrocław (www.wroclaw.pl).

We are located in the courtyard at ul. Marii Skłodowskiej-Curie 63a, on the first floor of the former headquarters of Wrocławskie Mieszkania – and it is here We invite you:

  • on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays: 10:00–16:00
  • on Wednesdays and Thursdays: 13:00–19:00
  • and on selected Saturdays month: 12:00-16:00

Information about the events we organize for the local community outside the regular opening hours of the Center can be found in the WROCŁAW tab and on the website dedicated to the estate. placgrunwaldzki.com.

The nearest tram and bus stop is called Kliniki – Politechnika Wrocławska and is located approximately 140 meters from our office.

 

The route between the bus stop and the Local Activity Center includes three crossings: a pedestrian crossing with traffic lights across Marii Skłodowskiej-Curie Street, a pedestrian crossing with traffic lights across Łukasiewicza Street, and a pedestrian crossing without traffic lights across another section of Łukasiewicza Street. Entering the courtyard where our office is located requires passing the Pasibus restaurant, passing a mural, and walking approximately 89 meters.

 

You can reach the Kliniki – Politechnika Wrocławska stop by trams number 1, 2, 4, 10, 16, WLT and buses number 115, 145, 146, 253, 255 and 315.

Come and tell us about important issues for the estate!

The Local Activity Center officially launched at the beginning of August 2021, but our team has been operating in the neighborhood for four years. We still want to get to know our neighbors as well as possible, so we invite everyone who would like to join us, share their opinions, talk about neighborhood issues that are important to them, or simply co-create the CAL program with us.
