On Friday, June 13, 2025, the second edition of the Volunteer Fair in Świdnica will be held in the Świdnica Market Square and at the Municipal Initiative Support Centre – an event addressed to non-governmental organizations, institutions, informal groups, young people and all residents interested in social and civic activities.

 

This is a continuation of last year's initiative, which was met with great interest from both volunteer groups and the local community. This year, the event returns with an even richer program and new development opportunities.

 

 

What's on the agenda?

 

  • Market Square in Świdnica – exhibition zone
  • Municipal Initiative Support Center (Rynek 39/40) – workshop space –
    training
  • Photography Gallery (Rynek 44) – evening part

 

  • 10:00–14:00 – Workshops for school youth

The Municipal Initiative Support Center will host interactive workshops for students from Świdnica schools, led by experienced trainers and social activists. Participants will learn about topics such as how volunteering can help develop a professional career, the importance of empathy in social relationships, how to effectively advocate for their community, and how to recognize and respond to hate speech.

  • 10:00–15:00 – Open zone for residents

During this time, residents of Świdnica and the surrounding area, tourists, families with children and all interested parties will be able to visit the stands of local social organizations and initiatives.

    • learning about the activities of a given organization,
    • conversations with its members and volunteers,
    • get to know current projects and support offers,
    • receiving information materials,
    • and above all – find out how you can get involved as a volunteer.

This is a great opportunity to find a valuable field of activity for yourself – regardless of age, experience or amount of free time.

  • 15:00 – Świdnica majorettes show

The end of the exhibition part in the market square to the rhythm of music and dance.

  • 5:00 p.m. – Open lecture at the Photography Gallery

  • 18:00 – Screening of the social film "A Woman Goes to War" (2018, 1h 41 min, Iceland-Ukraine-France)

A moving film about the power of civic protest, social engagement, and responsibility for the common good. Free admission!

  • 20:00 – Open lecture at the Photography Gallery

Topic: "Volunteering in crisis – what are we facing?"„
Hosted by: Natalia Sztandera, Niezłomni Sercem Foundation
A presentation for anyone interested in the topic of social activities and the condition of contemporary volunteering.

Organization and support

The event is part of the "Świdnica for Volunteering" project, which will run from 2024 to 2026 thanks to funding from the "Partnership for Volunteering. 2024 Edition" program, as part of the Solidarity Corps – the Government Program for Support and Development of Systematic Volunteering for 2018–2030.
