On November 5th, we celebrated International Volunteer Coordinators Day – a special day for all those who support, inspire and connect people on a daily basis around the idea of helping.

To mark this occasion, a meeting was held, attended by coordinators of school volunteer clubs, volunteers from Świdnica schools, representatives of the University of the Third Age (UTW), the Volunteer Labor Corps (OHP), and individuals involved in local social activities. The event was opened by the Deputy Mayor of Świdnica, Katarzyna Fitrzyk, who expressed her appreciation and gratitude to all present for their immense commitment to the development of volunteering in our city.
During the meeting, there was also an inspiring training on self-care and burnout prevention, led by Ms. Adrianna Michałowska, psychologist and founder Spheres of Psyche. Mrs. Ada talked about, among other things:
- how to cultivate passion for what we do every day,
- how to maintain harmony with yourself,
- why it is worth taking care of your mental comfort and consciously building emotional resilience.
Participants also performed short exercises as inspiration for reflection and daily mindfulness practice.
It was a meeting full of support, gratitude, and mutual appreciation. Because volunteer coordinators are the people without whom the entire support system simply wouldn't function. They are the ones who connect people, support organizations, and help find meaning and joy in their work. They are the ones who motivate, resolve conflicts, and plan, all the while providing the heart, time, and energy that often goes unnoticed. Their work is quiet, yet invaluable—which is why it's so important to talk about it, support it, and appreciate it.
We would like to thank all participants for their presence, conversations, warmth, and inspiration. We also extend our sincere thanks to:
- Ważka Art Café – for delicious refreshments,
- Resting Room – for preparing passes for saline inhalations for our guests and visitors.
Let this meeting be a reminder that behind every successful social initiative there are people – women and men – who care about others and make good things happen.

The "Świdnica for Volunteering" project is being implemented thanks to funding from the "Partnership for Volunteering. 2024 Edition" program, implemented as part of the Solidarity Corps – the Government Program for Support and Development of Systematic Volunteering for 2018–2030.
Local partners of the project: Fundacja Ładne Historie, Świdnica Volunteer Centre, Świdnica University of the Third Age and the Mam Pomysł Foundation.
