From February 2–13, 2026, as part of our Center for the Development and Activity of Children and Youth, we implemented a two-week program of winter preventive and animation activities.

Classes were held Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., with two teachers supervising the participants. The program included a total of 10 days of classes, each with six hours per day.
The aim of the classes was not only to provide children with an attractive and safe way to spend their winter break, but above all to support social and emotional development, build healthy habits and strengthen their sense of agency and security.

Organization and program of classes
Each day began with a shared breakfast and team-building activities. Participants were provided with two healthy meals a day. The program included activities at the center, as well as educational and recreational outings.
The classes included, among others:
- a hydroponics workshop at Odra Centrum, during which children learned the principles of growing plants in water, the water cycle in nature and ways of caring for the environment, and a "Knot Academy" workshop developing practical skills,
- preventive classes "Mr. Mistake - not so bad", devoted to accepting mistakes as a natural part of the learning process,
- workshops on making bird treats, combined with a discussion on responsible feeding of animals in winter,
- art workshops, including clay modeling and art classes inspired by cubism,
- macrame handicraft workshops,
- creative activities: drawing, art, beading and board games,
- trips to the entertainment center, where participants could use trampolines, obstacle courses and exercise zones.
The program was complemented by daily integration games and activities, team activities and outdoor play.

The two-week series of winter preventive and animation activities was a time of intensive educational, preventative, and integrative activities. The program combined elements of play, creativity, and movement with content that supported children's social and emotional development.
We would like to thank all participants for their commitment and the time spent together.
The project "Organization and implementation of an educational and recreational program called the Center for Development and Activity of Children and Youth" is being implemented thanks to funding from the Municipality of Wrocław (www.wroclaw.pl).
