The highly anticipated mountain expeditions in the Sudetes for people with disabilities and their families will begin on June 15th. The seventh edition of one of the most important and largest respite programs in Poland is upon us.

This season, participants can enjoy new routes, mountain camping, and even shooting star viewing. We've prepared seven trips, but there could be more – fundraising for further initiatives is underway. Participation in the "Łączą nas góra" (Mountains Connected) project is free.

„"Łączą nas gór" (The Mountains Connect Us) is a program dedicated to people with disabilities and their families. It promotes mountain hiking as a fantastic form of rehabilitation accessible to all.

Tour schedule

The seventh edition of the "Mountains Connect Us" project will begin June 15 in the heart of the Jizera Mountains (Orle Tourist Station). The next expeditions are:

  • camping near Andrzejówka (July 19-20),
  • Karkonosze Pass (August 3),
  • night viewing of the Perseids (August 16 and 17)
  • and the season finale (September 28).

During our expeditions, we provide specialized strollers and carriers, as well as professional care. Each route is pre-screened for the needs and limitations of people with disabilities and carefully described. Physiotherapists, mountain guides, psychologists, and volunteers are present on our trips.

Fundraising for the next trips is underway

This year's expeditions are possible thanks to the commitment of many individuals who supported the fundraiser, companies that donated—including HPE, Google, Decathlon, and AAM—and institutions. The support of the Marshal's Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship is also crucial.

Interest in the trips is enormous and growing year by year, so we're raising funds to organize further initiatives this season. Donations can be made to the project's virtual collection box via the website: dev.ladnehistorie.pl/wesprzyj-nas/

See you on the trail!

The tours take place under the honorary patronage of the Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
