The year 2025 was marked by grassroots initiatives by volunteers that responded to the real needs of residents and local communities. Thanks to mini-grants, volunteers were able to implement their own ideas – diverse, engaged, and meaningful.

„"Planted" – March 2025

The project implemented a series of educational and environmental activities, culminating in the "Great Planting" event (March 22, 2025), during which a municipal orchard was established in Świdnica. The project combined workshops in primary schools, promotional activities, and joint tree planting, engaging children, youth, adults, and volunteers in collaborative environmental initiatives.

„"Relaxed" – from April 2025

A project supporting children's mental well-being has been underway at Primary School No. 2 in Świdnica since April 3, 2025. Thanks to the involvement of volunteers, mobile relaxation zones have been created in the school's after-school club, and regular calming activities with elements of mindfulness and breathing exercises have become a natural part of the children's daily routines.

Pre-Christmas meeting of the Intercultural Cafe – December 18, 2025.

In December, volunteers involved in the Intercultural Café organized a pre-Christmas gathering for seniors from Ukraine and Świdnica. It was a time for conversation, preparing refreshments, and being together – especially important for those experiencing loneliness. The gathering strengthened relationships and maintained the Café as a safe community space.

Carpentry workshop – bird feeders – 18/12/2025.

In Wrocław, volunteers held carpentry workshops, during which participants created bird feeders from recycled materials. The event combined environmental education with learning how to use simple tools and hands-on activities. The intimate setting fostered the acquisition of new skills and mindful work.

The workshops will be continued in 2026 – further meetings are planned to develop manual and ecological skills.

Each of these initiatives shows that the actions of volunteers have a real impact – they build relationships, strengthen local communities, and stay with us for longer.
