National Respite Tourism Network

The National Respite Tourism Network was established in 2022 and brings together individuals and entities from across Poland involved in social tourism and those responsible for implementing and implementing various forms of respite care for people with disabilities and their families. The network, initiated by non-governmental organizations, is cross-sectoral and invites NGOs, public entities, and private entities to collaborate.

For what purpose was the National Respite Tourism Network established?

The network's primary goal is to develop respite services in the tourism sector by increasing access to active forms of respite care, building awareness of the need to develop respite tourism offerings, and increasing access to such services for a broad range of social groups. The network aims to strengthen individuals and entities operating in this field through the exchange of experiences, initiating collaboration, and active dialogue within and outside the network. We invite you to advocate on issues we collectively consider crucial for the development of active forms of respite care in Poland.

  • organizing conferences, workshops and meetings;
  • creating a strategy for the development of relaxation tourism;
  • creating a model of self-advocacy;
  • recommendations for legal changes (national and local law);
  • active participation in public consultations and committee work at various levels;
  • implementation of social campaigns and promotion of good practices.
