Fundacja Ładne Historie has secured PLN 150,000 in funding from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage for the implementation of the "Children and Youth Development and Activity Center – Pilot" project as part of this year's Cultural Infrastructure program. Thanks to these funds, a new headquarters will be built at 39/41 Górnickiego Street in Wrocław. Center for the Development and Activity of Children and Youth – a modern, accessible and open place for meetings, education and creative play.

The Center will be a space aimed at children and young people, particularly from the Ołbin, Plac Grunwaldzki, and other areas included in the Municipal Revitalization Program. Many families—especially those in more difficult financial circumstances—have limited access to culture, workshops, education, preventative activities, and safe spaces. The new facility aims to change this by providing a rich program of activities, an open atmosphere, and full accessibility for people with diverse needs. At the same time, the new location will facilitate participation in our services for families who face various barriers to using the Center at our current location.

The space will undergo a thorough modernization and partial renovation to ensure it meets modern standards and remains functional for many years to come. Plans include:

  • new electrical installation – from dismantling the old one, through installation of the switchboard, to full as-built documentation,
  • modernization of water, sewage and heating installations,
  • replacement of window and door joinery,
  • installation of a ramp or other accessibility solution for wheelchairs and people with limited mobility.

The project is being carried out from April 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025, and constitutes the first phase of renovation work at the premises on Górnickiego Street. The Center's opening in the new location is planned for early September 2026, following the completion of the second phase of renovation and retrofitting in 2026.

The Center will operate in the spirit of open culture—accessible to all, regardless of financial or social status. It will be a place where children and young people can develop their talents, strengthen their social and emotional skills, and build a sense of empowerment. Activities aimed at families with migration experience and those who have limited access to cultural offerings are of particular importance.

The project "Centre for the Development and Activity of Children and Youth – pilot" was co-financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
