The Świdnica Volunteer Fair is an event that, since 2024, has been creating a meeting place for people, organizations, and ideas that are changing the local community for the better. It's here that you can see how much good is happening in Świdnica and the surrounding area—often thanks to ordinary people who simply want to take action and do something for others.
Every year, we meet in Świdnica's Market Square and in the spaces of the Municipal Initiative Support Center. The fair brings together non-governmental organizations, institutions, informal groups, volunteers, young people, and residents interested in social action. It's a place for conversation, inspiration, meeting new people, and discovering that volunteering can take many forms.
During the event, organizations present their activities, share how you can get involved, and show that helping others doesn't have to be difficult or "for a select few." In addition to the stands, there are also workshops, meetings, artistic activities, lectures, and initiatives aimed specifically at young people.
From the outset, we wanted the Fair to be more than just a promotional event. We wanted to create a place where people could meet, exchange experiences, find their place in social activities, or simply feel that they were not alone in their ideas and need for action.
Young people are particularly important to us – that's why the Fair features topics related to emotions, relationships, mental health, civic engagement, and personal development. We demonstrate that volunteering can be not only about helping others but also a way to develop, gain experience, and meet new people.
With each successive edition, we see an ever-larger community of individuals and organizations forming around the Fair, eager to work together. And that's precisely what it's all about – relationships, collaboration, and the belief that even small actions can truly transform the world around us.
