In this frantic pre-Christmas rush, we'd like to invite you to a DIY workshop on how to make a simple bird feeder. Perhaps it'll be time to pause and catch your breath. Join us and our team of volunteers on December 18th!
Apparently, Arctic frosts are approaching, and the birds don't like it. That's why we want to build them homes where they can find food during this difficult time.
This will also be an opportunity to talk about birds, their winter reality, what can be put in the feeder and what should not.
This workshop will be held at the initiative of one of our volunteers and a regular at our Center. She's been wanting to organize a meeting and "play around" with a sander and jigsaw for some time now. She found a beautiful wooden pallet, and now she's waiting to be put to use. It's precisely for ideas like these that we can use mini-grants from the National Institute of Freedom – Center for the Development of Civil Society, as part of the Solidarity Corps – the Government Program for Support and Development of Long-Term Volunteering for 2018-2030.
