On February 18, 2026, we invite you to the finale of the project "„Plac Grunwaldzki: Everyday Life Archive”, implemented as part of the program KPO for culture. The event will combine the launch of an art publication with a pop-up exhibition of selected works created during several months of creative work and meetings around the Neighborhood Archive.

In this edition, we focused on the everyday experience of the estate and invited creative people associated with Wrocław to collaborate, who looked at Grunwald from a closer perspective – through images, texts, observations and personal clues.

The result of this work is an artistic zine featuring photographs, graphics, poetic texts, and comics. Thanks to collaboration with creative individuals from Wrocław, we were able to present everyday life in Grunwald in a modern, humorous, and surprising way – we hope that this publication will give you a fresh perspective on our neighborhood.

The zine's launch will be accompanied by a conversation with the creators, devoted to their work processes and various ways of talking about everyday life using artistic activities.

A special element of the finale will be a temporary exhibition, available exclusively during the event. On February 18th, for two hours, a room provided by the project partner (Uniwersytet Medyczny im. Piastów Śląskich in Wrocław and the Medical Discovery Center) will be transformed into a presentation space for selected works from the zine. The exhibition will be available for viewing only on that one day, during the project finale, but the publication will also be available for purchase after the project's conclusion by visiting the Plac Grunwaldzki OD NOWA Center.

We would like to express our special thanks to Dr. Mateusz Kowal, Vice-Dean for Organization and Development at the Faculty of Physiotherapy, Wrocław Medical University, for providing the room for the event.

Our intention with the project was to create a process open to experimentation, supporting the dissemination of the Neighborhood Archive and inviting Wrocław artists to collaborate. The project became a space for creative activities based on Grunwaldzki Square and an opportunity to incorporate artistic perspectives into work with local memory and everyday life. The result of this process is another material developing the Neighborhood Archive – unique, multi-voiced, and based on contemporary forms of working with the identity of place. The zine and exhibition are intended to demonstrate that a community archive can be a living tool, responsive to change and open to diverse ways of telling the story of a neighborhood, not just a collection of edited digital materials.

The zine and exhibition were co-created with us by:

Ania Lewińska (substantive supervisor of the group and host of the first two events), Ewa Głowacka (substantive supervisor of the group and author of the zine’s graphic design), Zośka Reznik (moderator of the final meeting), Ioannis Anastasiou (member of the working group), Majka Dokudowicz (member of the working group), Marta Falkowska (member of the working group), Agata Grzych (member of the working group) Kamil Kawalec (member of the working group), Anna Komsta-Tomaszewska (member of the working group), Agata Dyczko (author of the soundtrack for the exhibition).

The project partners are Uniwersytet Medyczny im. Piastów Śląskich in Wrocław and the Medical Discovery Center. The project's media patron is Academic Radio LUZ.
