Fast Travel show that to discover the world (mainly its undulating parts) you don't need money, professional equipment, or even skills – all you need is courage, comfortable shoes, and a few change for food. Just like we did in the project The mountains connect us, in which we organize mountain trips for people with disabilities and their families, proves that the mountains can be accessible to anyone who wants it!
This year, we're heading out onto the Sudetes trails together for a good cause! Proceeds from this charity event will go towards providing respite tourism for families of children with disabilities.

While hiking Decathlon Poland decided to donate 10 PLN for every kilometer of the route – that's 4,000 PLN! This is the result of cooperation between the stores that joined our campaign: Decathlon Wrocław, Decathlon Szczawno-Zdrój, Decathlon Jelenia Góra, Decathlon Zielona Góra, Decathlon Zgorzelec, and Decathlon Nowy Sącz.
What do you think about doubling that number?! 9,000 PLN is the cost of a respite trip, where mothers and caregivers, or fathers and caregivers, can take their child on a three-day respite trip to Szklarska Poręba. So far, we've had two such trips, and we're planning to organize another one in September! With the funds raised, we'll cover essential expenses like accommodations, meals, respite care, insurance, and an art therapy program! Of course—the sky's the limit; we'd love to do more than one trip!

As part of the project, the Fast Trail will cover approximately 400 kilometers along the Blue Sudetes Trail, leading from Szklarska Poręba to Pasterka. When thinking of a long-distance trail in the Sudetes, the Main Sudetes Trail, marked in red and winding through 444 km of Sudetes paths, usually comes to mind. Few people know that this trail has a "little" sibling—the blue Szklarska Poręba-Pasterka trail, which for nearly 400 km meanders through lesser-known corners of the entire Sudetes. Colloquially known as the Blue Sudetes Trail, it visits less popular mountain ranges such as the Kaczawskie, Kamienne, Bialskie, and Bystrzyckie Mountains, where on a clear weekend you can spend hours searching in vain for tourists. This year, the Fast Trail will test whether it's possible to experience solitude in the Polish mountains today and whether the Wild Sudetes still exist.

In collaboration with Decathlon Polska, Szybka Podróży organizes an annual charity march. Why did they choose the "Łąją nas górą" (Mountains Connecting Us) project as their fundraising goal this year?
Quick: It's nice to hike in the mountains, isn't it? Blue skies overhead, a wild, mushroom-scented forest all around, a cooling breeze on your face, a mountain path underfoot, and those views... I think everyone looks forward to recalling beautiful memories of summiting... Unfortunately, not everyone can experience it, at least not on their own. The mountains unite us by organizing retreats, allowing people with mobility disabilities to experience the beauty of the mountains who would otherwise never have... The mountains have taught me a lot, especially about myself. They have given me the strength and motivation to never give up, because every climb has an end, and sooner or later you'll reach the summit, including the one in life. Everyone can learn something from mountain trails, and I'm very happy that, together with Decathlon Polska, we can help people hit the trail who would otherwise be confined to the everyday lowlands.
Anna Kasperek from Decathlon Polska: Sport plays an incredibly important role in the lives of people with disabilities. Besides the health aspect, the feeling of belonging to a group, getting out of the house, and opening up to new opportunities are equally important. Our goal is to make sport accessible to everyone. We create connections between people in communities, teaching them how to practice sport and how to integrate. That's why the "Łączą nas gór" project is so important to us, and we're thrilled to be a part of it.

The project organizer is Fundacja Ładne Historie.
