The National Respite Tourism Network was established in 2022 and brings together individuals and entities from across Poland involved in social tourism and those responsible for implementing and implementing various forms of respite care for people with disabilities and their families. The network, initiated by non-governmental organizations, is cross-sectoral and invites NGOs, public entities, and private entities to collaborate. The network's primary goal is to develop respite services in the tourism sector by increasing access to active forms of respite care, building awareness of the need to develop respite tourism offerings, and increasing access to such services for a broad range of social groups. To achieve this goal, the network organizes meetings, workshops, and study visits, actively participates in consultations and industry events, and undertakes joint advocacy and promotional activities. We invite you to collaborate!
The International Short Break Association (ISBA) Conference is a unique forum for all organizations providing short break (respite care) services and for individuals who use or are interested in using these services. The conference will discuss issues raised by policymakers, policymakers, and researchers in this field.
The main goal of the conference is to develop a better understanding of the nature and determinants of short-term care services (respite care) and to disseminate knowledge about possible forms of support that will respond to the individual needs of individuals, families, caregivers, and loved ones. The conference provides an opportunity to learn about the development of new, innovative ways of providing services based on individual needs.
This year's event takes place from September 11-14 at the Lower Silesian Film Centre and Concordia Design. The conference is organized by the Imago Foundation, the BONITUM Wrocław Association for People with Intellectual Disabilities, the "Potrafię Pomóc" Foundation, and Fundacja Ładne Historie.
