On Saturday, June 13, 2026, the 17th Wrocław Health Promotion Days took place in the heart of Wrocław. For the first time, the event took place in Wrocław's Market Square, transforming part of it into an open space for discussions about health, prevention, physical activity, and the well-being of residents.
For six hours, participants benefited from free tests, specialist consultations, expert advice, workshops, activities for children, and an educational program prepared by the event partners. This year's edition was officially opened by Deputy Mayor of Wrocław Mateusz Żak, Director of the Health and Social Affairs Department at Wrocław City Hall Joanna Nyczak, and Director of the Wrocław Centre for Social Development Dorota Feliks.

According to data provided by the event partners, over 4,300 people took advantage of the tests, consultations, advice, and educational activities offered at various stands during the 17th Wrocław Health Promotion Days. Of all the recorded use of the partners' offers, 82% were by Wrocław residents, nearly 10% by people from the Wrocław metropolitan area, and over 8% by people from other parts of Lower Silesia and Poland. These data demonstrate that the event effectively reaches primarily Wrocław residents, while remaining an important preventative initiative for the entire region.

Dozens of positions and a wide range of health services
Nearly 40 stations prepared by public institutions, medical entities, universities, non-governmental organizations, and social partners awaited participants. Participants could take advantage of consultations on topics such as heart health, cancer prevention, mental health, diabetes, pulmonary hypertension, cardiac rehabilitation, men's and women's health, family support, addiction prevention, healthy eating, and physical activity.
The event was attended by, among others, Uniwersytet Medyczny im. Piastów Śląskich in Wrocław, the University Clinical Hospital, the National Health Fund, the Wrocław Health Centre SPOZ, the Wrocław Integration Centre, the Wrocław Nursery Complex, the Emergency Medical Service, the Municipal Water and Sewage Company, the Tadeusz Różewicz Municipal Public Library in Wrocław, the Municipal Social Welfare Centre in Wrocław, numerous non-governmental organizations and partners implementing health programs for the residents of Wrocław.
On-stage conversations and activities for the youngest
The main stage program was a key element of the event. Discussions included topics such as countering hate among children and youth through the #HejtOVER campaign, thyroid disease prevention, the Wrocław Health Map project, the city's "Wrocław Gets Vaccinated" campaign, and the Healthy Mission program implemented by the Wrocław Network of Health-Promoting Kindergartens and Schools.
There were also plenty of attractions for the youngest. The children's zone hosted culinary workshops, creative and entertainment activities, and classes demonstrating that healthy eating can be both valuable and appealing for entire families.
