On September 12th, we are opening the All Children's Center – the new home of the Children and Youth Development and Activity Center program run by the Ładne Historie Foundation.
On this day, we will launch activities in the renovated space at Górnickiego Street 39-41, showcasing an exhibition and zine created in collaboration with children and young people. Together with the Ołbin Estate Council and the Partnership for Ołbin, we will invite you to a family picnic and performance in Tołpa Park. Admission to all events is free and requires no advance registration.
The event will run from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM and will combine three initiatives implemented in collaboration with the City of Wrocław and local partners. They share a common theme of working with children, youth, and families, and creating spaces where people can explore interests, build relationships, and collaborate.
We invite children, young people, parents, guardians, neighbors and anyone interested in the new place to the opening.

A new place for children and young people
Working with children and young people has been a core competency of the Ładne Historie Foundation from the very beginning. We began ten years ago in Świdnica, and the experience we gained there became the foundation for our activities, which we later expanded to include Wrocław.
The Center for All Children is the new name and new home for the Center for Child and Youth Development and Activity program, which we have been running at Grunwaldzki Square since 2021 in collaboration with the Department of Health and Social Affairs of the Wrocław City Hall. Previously, classes were held at 63a Skłodowskiej-Curie Street, in a space shared with CAL Plac Grunwaldzki OD NOWA.
Each year, the number of children and youth benefiting from the program grew. The range of activities and the scope of work with young people and their families also expanded. Therefore, we needed a larger space, specifically designed for regular educational, preventative, cultural, and developmental activities.
The Center's new home is located at 39-41 Górnickiego Street, directly next to Tołpa Park. Thanks to funding from the Municipality of Wrocław, support from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, and the involvement of private and local partners, we completed the renovation and prepared the space for operations.
On September 12th, we will open it to residents for the first time. You will be able to see the renovated interior, meet the Center team, and learn more about planned activities.
Why All Children's Center?
The name of the center expresses the commitment we want to implement in our daily work. The center is intended to be open to every young person – regardless of their family situation, abilities, individual needs, cultural background, or the language they speak.
„By "all," we mean being mindful of differences and creating an environment in which children and young people feel safe, are treated with respect, develop their own interests, and build meaningful relationships. We want to create this space together with young people and in dialogue with their parents and guardians.
The center will be open Monday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM. The program will include activities related to prevention, healthy eating, physical activity, and psychological support. Children and young people will be able to receive help with their studies, develop social and emotional skills, and spend their time safely after school.
Culture and cultural education will remain an important part of the program: artistic workshops, meetings, collaborative creation, and creative activities. We want young people to be able to develop their interests, explore various forms of creativity, and participate in decision-making about what happens at the Center.
Exhibition and premiere of a zine created with young people
The opening of the CWD will be combined with the finale of the project "WSPÓŁTWORZYMY: artistic zine in the Wrocław city center", implemented thanks to the support of the Department of Culture of the Wrocław City Hall.
In recent months, children and young people participated in artistic workshops during which, under the guidance of Paweł Szlotawa, they prepared their own works and collaborated on a publication. During the finale, we will present an exhibition of the resulting materials and, for the first time, present the finished zine.
The ideas, experiences, and work of young people will be a key part of the Center's inauguration. The project also demonstrates our understanding of co-creation—inviting children and young people to express their own opinions, make decisions, and have a real impact on the program and character of the space.
Family picnic and spectacle in Tołpa Park
The third part of the event will be a picnic organized in partnership with the Ołbin Estate Council and the Ołbin Partnership as part of the Free Time Fund. We invite you to Tołpa Park for a neighborhood gathering and a program designed for children and entire families.
The park will host the Gracholka Theatre's "Krętym szlakiem z slimakiem" (A Winding Trail with a Snail). This interactive, original story is filled with music, humor, and encounters with extraordinary characters. The protagonist is a curious Snail who embarks on a journey and, along the way, meets a Scared Hedgehog, a GPS Pigeon, a Stork Returning from Africa, and a Blind Mole.
The show engages young audiences in fun, and the characters' adventures become a starting point for conversations about courage, self-acceptance, caring for nature, and relationships with others.
A collaborative center
The creation and development of the All Children's Center are the result of collaboration between many individuals, entities, and communities. We run the program in collaboration with the Department of Health and Social Affairs of the Wrocław City Hall and with the long-standing support of the Mayday Foundation. The renovation, adaptation, and furnishing of the new facility were made possible by, among others, funds from the Municipality of Wrocław and the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
Private partners, including Pasaż Grunwaldzki, the Allegro Foundation, and Google, have also joined in the development of the Center, supporting us financially, in kind, and through employee volunteering. Local organizations, institutions, neighborhood councils, and individuals associated with the "Nasz Grunwald" and "Partnership for Ołbin" partnerships also play a significant role.
Through a combination of public funding and donations, private involvement, and local collaboration, CWD can develop into a place that is strongly connected to its neighborhood and responsive to the needs of young people and their families.
