For many, entering the new year means taking care of your health. We want to support you in your New Year's resolutions! We invite all seniors to participate in a new series with psychologist Piotr Łącki, who will teach you how to easily improve your memory!
„"Mind Training in Retirement" is a regular, free session organized by the Plac Grunwaldzki OD NOWA Local Activity Center, led by psychologist Piotr Łącki. Each session will provide an opportunity to tackle tasks and puzzles that exercise various cognitive processes and learn more about how to maintain mental and physical fitness every day. Theory will be kept to a minimum; we will focus on practical learning!
Participation in the meetings is free, and the only requirement is prior registration. Participation in the series constitutes acceptance of the following regulations: bit.ly/TreningiUmysluREGULAMIN.

Schedule:
- February 8, 2023, 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM: Team-building event: introduction and integration of new participants. Presentation of 4 steps to maintaining physical and mental fitness in retirement.
- February 15, 2023, 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM Participants will learn about the gyaku-zuki punch, Japanese numerals, and the role exercise plays in maintaining mental fitness.
- February 22, 2023, 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM: The Way to the Brain is Through the Stomach – we'll discover how nutrition affects cognitive functioning. We'll also build a tower that will surpass the Spire in front of Centennial Hall with its sheer scale!
- March 1, 2023, 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM: Participants will learn how to get better sleep and learn about rituals worth implementing before bed and after waking up. Among the cognitive exercises, there will be time to find your way across a river wider than the Oder.
- March 8, 2023, 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM During the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to tackle various puzzles that exercise their minds. They will also learn three exercises worth incorporating into their daily routine to strengthen positive emotions.
- March 15, 2023, 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM: Everyone will receive a toolbox today, containing mental exercises you can do at home. We'll summarize the activities we've done so far.
Meetings are held every Wednesday from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the headquarters in the Local Activity Center Plac Grunwaldzki OD NOWA (in the courtyard at ul. Marii Curie-Skłodowskiej 63a, 1st floor).
About the presenter:
Piotr Łącki – psychologist, traveler, and promoter of knowledge about maintaining mental and physical fitness at age 60+. His educational portal, psychologdlaseniora.pl, is one of the largest educational websites aimed at people aged 60+. He has been conducting psychological workshops, author meetings, and psychoeducational lectures across the country for 10 years. He is the author of seven publications aimed at people aged 60+ and senior educators.
