Thank a volunteer – take part in the competition Solidarity Corps Volunteer of the Year 2024!

UPDATE:

Due to the crisis situation in southern Poland, the competition for the Solidarity Corps Volunteer of the Year 2024 within the "Partnership for Volunteering" project has been extended!

The call for applications lasts until October 6, 2024!

Don't wait until Volunteer Day to thank your Volunteer – anytime is the right time! Register your Volunteer today for the "Solidarity Corps Volunteer of the Year 2024" competition.

Make sure others know the profile of the person who supports your organization, give others a chance to be inspired by the attitude of your hero/heroine.

The competition promotes valuable social attitudes, showcases the diversity of volunteering, and highlights the achievements of volunteers. Its goal is to recognize volunteers and draw attention to the important role they play in supporting non-governmental organizations and public institutions. The competition aims to highlight the achievements of volunteers (volunteer groups) and honor the winners.

Details of the competition are presented in regulations. There you'll read, among other things, that any volunteer who has joined the Solidarity Corps (has a user account in the SOW Volunteer Service System) can participate in the competition. Candidates can apply in person or be nominated by those they help. Both individuals and groups of volunteers can apply. We also explain how to submit a candidate application and how the winners are selected.

Don't ask if it's worth it! Publicize your organization's activities and recruit new volunteers. Appreciate your volunteer and feel proud of them!

The winners will be presented during the volunteering gala and on the websites and social media of the Solidarity Corps and NIW-CRSO.

The competition runs until September 29, 2024.

Applications can be submitted via:

  • SOW Volunteer Service System (Volunteer and Year Coordinator tab) link HERE – for people who have an account in SOW
  • form available on the Solidarity Corps website link HERE – for people who do not have an account in SOW and want to submit someone's candidacy in the competition
