The year 2025 marked the beginning of an important journey for the "Future Written by Family" project, implemented by the Municipal Social Welfare Center in Świdnica in partnership with the Ładne Historie Foundation. It was a time of getting to know each other, building relationships, and creating a space where families could be together, learn from each other, and strengthen what was most valuable within them.
The first few months were spent preparing and negotiating. The project team met, planned activities, and invited local institutions and organizations to collaborate. Informational meetings, discussions, and initial contacts were held, which led to the project's participants joining. 16 families. Each of them brought their own experiences, needs, and ideas to the shared space.
The inaugural trip was a significant moment – several days spent together, outside the daily routine, in an atmosphere of mindfulness and openness. It was there that the first conversations, joint activities, and the feeling that the project was not just about planned workshops, but above all, about relationships emerged. This time allowed us to define directions for further cooperation and plan our next steps.
Throughout the year, the project was filled with meetings, workshops, and activities involving children, youth, and adults. These included activities to develop social skills, meetings focused on communication and emotions, family circles, and neighborhood initiatives. A key role was played by a community organizer who accompanied families, encouraged them to co-create events, and supported the development of local ties.
A team of specialists conducted their work in parallel, meeting regularly, receiving supervision, and collaborating with partners in the Local Support System. This ensured that the project's activities were coherent, well-thought-out, and flexibly adapted to the participants' current circumstances.
The year 2025 concluded as a time of laying the foundations: trust, cooperation, and community. What was built in this first stage became the starting point for further action. The project will continue. until the end of January 2027, and the following months will bring new meetings, experiences and stories written together – exactly as its name suggests: a future written by family.
The project is being implemented Municipal Social Welfare Center in Świdnica in partnership with The Nice Stories Foundation, in response to the competition for scaling the Model for strengthening the social capital of families "Winning Family", as part of the Programme European Funds for Social Development 2021–2027, co-financed by the funds European Social Fund Plus.
