We invite you to another meeting in our series of events focused on prevention and support for the local community. The April event is dedicated to one of the city's most important institutions – the Municipal Social Welfare Center.

The meeting will take place on April 15, 2024, at 12:00 PM at the Local Activity Center Plac Grunwaldzki OD NOWA. As part of this event, we will be hosting representatives of the Municipal Social Welfare Center: Ms. Katarzyna Janas, Head of the Family Support Department, who will present a wide range of activities undertaken by the Municipal Social Welfare Center in Wrocław, and Kamila Soltys, an employee of the Domestic Violence Prevention Department.

There is no registration required for the meeting, participation is free, just come!

MOPS (Mobile Social Welfare Center) is an institution whose role in the community life is crucial. Its activities extend beyond financial and caregiving assistance, encompassing a range of non-financial initiatives worth remembering – especially if someone we care for or our loved ones needs support. Perhaps someone in your building doesn't know what MOPS has to offer, or for various reasons doesn't use it, but is eligible? It's worth exploring the scope of this institution's activities, because even if you don't know about it, you can take advantage of many different support options. Each of us can be a wonderful support to those around us who may need help but don't use MOPS services or are unaware of the opportunities it offers.

Ms. Katarzyna Janas will share information about recruiting volunteers and the areas in which we offer volunteering, encouraging active participation in activities for children, youth, and seniors. She will also discuss volunteering procedures at MOPS (Mobile Social Welfare Center) and the "Envelope of Life" project, an essential part of seniors' equipment, particularly for the elderly, those living alone, those with chronic illnesses, and those with disabilities.

Kamila Soltys, an employee of the Domestic Violence Prevention Department, will also join the discussion. She will talk about the Department’s activities and share her knowledge about domestic violence, how to respond to it, and available sources of help.

If time permits, we will also discuss the forms and principles of granting financial assistance. This unique meeting is an excellent opportunity to gain practical knowledge and establish collaborations for the good of the local community.

We cordially invite everyone interested to participate in this important event!
