At the end of summer, the Center is returning to its offerings with "Pojedzone – Neighborhood Culinary Meetings," the tastiest workshop series in Grunwald! We've prepared four workshops that will help you discover new flavors, but above all, we'll feast with our neighbors, discuss food culture, and share ideas for a delicious lifestyle!

Free workshops will run from August to September. Under the guidance of culinary practitioners and gourmets, we'll savor vegetarian and vegan recipes based on seasonal and local produce. This year's series includes culinary journeys to India, Mexico, Japan, and Tuscany, recipes to strengthen the gut, and recreate recipes from a family recipe book.

Meeting schedule:

  • August 26, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM | Flavors of India – vegan workshops | Wojtek PawełczykWe'll travel to India, a land of flavors that's a paradise for vegetarians and vegans. We'll discuss the diversity and abundance of Indian cuisine, explore cooking techniques, and explore the ingredients and spices used—both familiar and less familiar. During the workshop, we'll prepare a hearty red lentil dal, mango pilaf, and, for dessert, carrot halva.

  • September 2, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM | Kitchen à la Lalka, or Grandma's recipe book – vegetarian workshops | Julia FilipowskaWe'll be transported to the world of Grandma Julia, who spent years collecting delicious recipes. Accompanied by music and engaging conversations, we'll follow notes and recreate her culinary heritage. Together, we'll prepare four dishes: a refreshing cold zucchini soup, a fruit and vegetable salad that will appeal even to picky eaters, and a unique take on pumpkin. A sweet dessert won't be missed!

  • September 9, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM | One-pot dishes – vegan workshops | belly makersWhat's the perfect one-pot meal? It's simple to prepare, made in one pot, consumed over several days, and still tasting delicious on the third day. During this meeting, we'll travel the world in search of delicious one-pot meals. We'll visit Japan and discover a comforting rice gruel, sample a Mexican stew perfect for autumn and winter evenings, and enjoy a hearty soup with Tuscan roots.

  • 16/09, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM | Healthy gut – vegan workshops | Kasia GubałaHeartburn, indigestion, irritable bowel syndrome, food allergies, and SIBO are just a few of the many topics we'll cover during our culinary workshops. We'll discuss the gut-brain axis, explore ways to support those with irritable bowel syndrome, and create a truly beneficial menu for the gut. We'll make sweet chia pudding with sunflower seeds and almonds—a perfect dish before a long day at work; homemade pâté with pickled vegetables on rice waffles—a powerhouse for immunity and energy; and basil-parsley pesto with an iron powerhouse and cold-pressed millet oil.

The workshops will be held at the Local Activity Center Plac Grunwaldzki at 63a Marii Curie-Skłodowskiej Street (entrance from the courtyard, 1st floor).

Belly-blooded people — Daga and Łukasz, in short, describe their online project as: we cook, we review, we travel – we EAT! Foodies from Wrocław, who first bonded over their love of each other, and then over their shared passion for food. Their dishes feature butter, salt, and unusual combinations. They focus on seasonal, local ingredients, but always with their own twist.

Wojtek Pawelczyk — He hasn't eaten meat for over a decade, and plant-based cooking is his great passion. He constantly tries new recipes and takes culinary courses. He has participated in previous editions of Pojedzone. He is a Scandinavian studies major. However, Scandinavian cuisine isn't particularly exciting or plant-based, so he prefers to explore the cuisines of Asian countries.
