We have great news! We are one of 10 organizations from across Poland that will be implementing a project in Świdnica as part of the program. New relationships!

The Intercultural University of the Third Age will launch in November, inviting you to collaborate, explore the city, and get to know one another. In the next three stages, we plan to:

  • meetings,
  • workshops,
  • walks
  • and creative activities in which we will engage refugees from Ukraine, migrants from other countries, students of the Świdnica University of the Third Age, school youth and local institutions and non-governmental organizations.

Participating in the Program also means valuable mentoring and tutoring support. Since the beginning of the escalation of the war in Ukraine, we have seen our role in animating the process of accepting people who have taken refuge here temporarily or permanently. We have not engaged in ad hoc aid activities, focusing instead on being a second "wave" of assistance, encompassing long-term education, integration, and social inclusion. We feel that we have accomplished a lot, but we also feel that we could do much more with substantive and expert support. Now, as we plan our next steps, this type of support is crucial to us. We are convinced that participating in the Program will strengthen our team and allow us to work more consciously and purposefully on behalf of refugees in our community.

More details coming soon!

The project organizer is Fundacja Ładne Historie.
The project is financed by the Association of Creative Initiatives "ę" as part of the New Relations program – a grant and development program supporting activities for the inclusion and intergenerational integration of people from Ukraine with refugee experience.
