„The "Nice Stories Project" is the result of our collaboration with the PwC Foundation, established by PwC, a global consulting and auditing firm. This joint project demonstrates the broadening of perspectives through the participation of non-governmental organizations and capital from businesses. Third-sector organizations and businesses have different target groups, different operational opportunities, and different tools. This combination is an effective partnership. We are proud to collaborate with the PwC Foundation. From the end of April to June 2023, we will implement six activities together.

In combination

Among the key areas of the Ładne Historie Foundation in Wrocław, we focus, among other things, on the integration of people who arrived from Ukraine – who now live and actively participate in the life of the Plac Grunwaldzki housing estate. Establishing cooperation with and receiving financial support from the PwC Foundation allows us to continue initiatives we launched last year, whose formula has proven successful and which we are currently refining.

In this edition of our pro-Ukrainian activities, we are developing two pillars. The first is an integrative program for children and youth. There will be four class outings for Ukrainian and Polish children, with educational and recreational activities. We will visit the Botanical Garden and the Odra Center – a meeting place on the water. We know how essential exercise is for proper development and are looking forward to the opportunity for walks and outdoor activities – systematizing knowledge about currently blooming plant species, experiencing a garden in the city, or exploring the riverbank with a trip to the Oławka River will be informal and engaging learning experiences for school children.

Secondly, we are addressing the needs of women by developing the Ukrainian-language Women's Circles series. It's a form of self-help and self-expression. The April circle is behind us, and the next one is in May. Meetings with women offer moments of respite and personal growth in an atmosphere of inclusive conversation, or a chance to experience the creative process—like painting mandalas.

The idea of employee volunteering at PwC

Companies operating responsibly know how to encourage and support employees to engage in social activities, and the concept of employee volunteering is also present in our project. PwC enables employees to engage as volunteers, who will strengthen the team of caregivers during class outings. We appreciate the promotion of volunteering as a model and are grateful for the opportunity for teamwork and cross-sector collaboration.

The continuation of the Women's Circles in Ukrainian and the program of walks for children coming from Ukraine is the result of cooperation between the Ładne Historie Foundation and the PwC Foundation, from whose funds we implement the " Ładne Historie Project".
