As part of the local project OSIEDLA OTWARTE, organised by the Critical Education Association, Odra Centrum would like to invite the entire Ukrainian community to Sunday ceramics workshops for the Ukrainian community at a meeting place on the water in Wrocław.
It is worth noting that this will be a series of workshops, and therefore at 12:00 p.m. Odra Centrum invites families with children to creative activities, and at 1:30 p.m. we invite adults.
Working with clay develops manual dexterity and also has therapeutic, calming, and relaxing properties. The works will be fired in a ceramic kiln. Interestingly, the Odra Centrum has the only water-powered kiln in Poland.
During the workshops, participants will learn the basic principles of working with clay – a natural, ecological and safe material – while also learning the basic methods of hand-forming clay and ceramic glazing techniques.
Moreover, on this day, as part of the local initiative OSIEDLA OTWARTE Odra Centrum also invites you to Slow Swap Ukrainian Ethical Shopping Festival, which will take place from 12:00 to 20:00. Slow Swap is a festival that has been taking place in Ukraine since 2010 and is one of the most famous and largest festivals in the country.
But today, with war raging in Ukraine, the festival has found refuge in friendly Poland. We live together in our beautiful Wrocław, so this is a perfect opportunity to get to know each other better.
