Exactly three years ago, we began our adventure with the Solidarity Corps – a program that develops long-term volunteering.
Our main goal here was to learn how to better build and develop volunteering at Ładne Histories. And believe us, a lot has happened in those three years.

We hired a volunteer coordinator, created and implemented a Volunteer Development Plan, obtained the Volunteer-Friendly Place certificate, organized documents, procedures, and rules for cooperation with volunteers… Thanks to our participation in the Corps, we also learned many things from other people and institutions – there were training courses, workshops, tutoring, meetings with experts, study visits to Krakow, Warsaw, and the Tricity… We learned about and implemented the Volunteer Service System – a nationwide tool for recruiting and monitoring volunteers.
What else was possible – organizing and conducting competitions, as a result of which our volunteers received mini-grants and were able to implement their own initiatives – from culinary and artistic workshops and first aid training to ecological and intergenerational activities.

It also involved dozens of hours of tutoring, during which we learned how to build a more coherent and thoughtful system for working with volunteers. Over the past year, we've worked on collaboration standards, communication, employee volunteering, and the documents that now form the foundation of our system.
We wanted volunteering at Ładne Histories to be better organized, more informed, and good for people – for people who want to work with us. Did everything go perfectly? Of course not. We're constantly learning, improving, testing, and searching for new and better solutions. But looking at where we were three years ago and where we are today, we can honestly say we've done a really good job!

We thank everyone who has been a part of this story over the past three years – the volunteers, coordinators, tutors, experts, and all the organizations that shared their experience with us. Solidarity Corps – thank you for these three years.
