We have a special invitation for you to celebrate the mid-May milestone – the fourth edition of the "Plac Grunwaldzki Estate Festival" will take place on May 18th at the University of Wrocław's Grunwald Campus. Organized by the local partnership "Nasz Grunwald," the family picnic promises something for everyone – the program includes workshops, a neighborhood table with delicacies from local restaurants, attractions for adults and children, and a film screening at the end of the event! On June 20th, we're planning a herstory-themed extravaganza with the Wrocław Municipal Public Library – you can't miss it!

 

The family picnic to celebrate the Plac Grunwaldzki Estate Festival will take place on May 18th (Saturday) in the meadow on the Grunwaldzki Campus of the University of Wrocław (the quarter between Szczytnicka, Wyszyńskiego, Joliot-Curie, and Polaka streets) from 4:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The entrance to the meadow is opposite the roundabout at Polaka and Wrocławczyka streets.

 

The extra part of the Estate Festival, i.e. a meeting with Olga Maria Szelc, author of the book "We. Women from the Kalambur Theatre. Herstorie" will take place on June 20 (Thursday) in branch no. 29 Tadeusz Różewicz Municipal Public Library in Wrocław from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The branch is located at 1 Mikołaja Reja Street. We'll tell you about this event soon!

There is NO registration required for the events – each workshop, meeting, show, and attraction is open and free, and participation does not require prior confirmation of attendance. Both adults and children are welcome to participate. Święto Osiedla is an annual opportunity to connect with students, as well as the academic community that works in our neighborhood. We invite our neighbors, both male and female, and everyone from Wrocław and beyond, to join us in celebrating Grunwald. Please feel invited, regardless of your neighborhood!

If you know us and remember previous Neighborhood Festivals, you know that a neighborhood picnic can be a truly enjoyable event, bringing together residents of all ages on a Saturday afternoon. Enjoy relaxing music, vegetarian treats, workshops and activities to spark your creativity, or simply relax on a lounger with friends and family… we have something for everyone!

 

If this is your first time hearing about the Plac Grunwaldzki Neighborhood Festival, here's a hint: it's the fourth annual celebration of the culture and identity of this unique part of Wrocław. This initiative was created by the local partnership "„Nasz Grunwald”", and our common goal is to showcase the diversity of Grunwald, integrate and spend time together in a friendly atmosphere, and celebrate neighborhoods and local ties. Join us, let's get to know each other, it'll be really fun!

Organized by the „Nasz Grunwald” local partnership, the family picnic will offer something for everyone – the program includes workshops, a neighborhood table with delicacies from local restaurants, attractions for adults and children, and a film screening at the end of the event! On June 20th we are planning a herstorical catch-up co-organized with the Tadeusz Różewicz Municipal Public Library in Wrocław – you can't miss it!

 

The Festival will be held on May 18th (Saturday) in the meadow on the grounds of the Grunwaldzki Campus of the University of Wrocław (the quarter between Szczytnicka, Wyszyńskiego, Joliot-Curie and Polaka streets) between 4 pm and 9.30 pm The entrance to the meadow is opposite the roundabout in Polaka and Wrocławczyka streets.

The events are NOT subject to registration – each of the workshops, meetings, shows and attractions is open and free of charge, and you do not need to register in advance to participate. The events are open to adults as well as children and young people. The Festival is an annual opportunity to integrate students, as well as the academic community who work on our estate every day. We invite our neighbors, but also anyone from Wrocław and beyond, to join us in celebrating Grunwald. Feel invited regardless of the estate where you live!

If you hear about the Festival for the first time, here's a hint: this is the fourth edition of a joint celebration of the culture and identity of this unique part of Wrocław. This initiative was created by the local partnership "„Nasz Grunwald„", and our common goal is to show the diversity of Grunwald, integrate and spend time together in a friendly atmosphere, celebrating neighbors and local ties. Join us, and let's get to know each other, it's going to be a lot of fun indeed!

 

We will be announcing the full picnic schedule soon, but for now we are hinting that on May 18th the meadow at the Grunwaldzki Campus of Wrocław University will be filled with workshops and presentations (including a herbal workshop with Agata Łoś and a printing demonstration with Majka Dokudowicz), physical activities and animations, a film screening and the legendary cream puffs!
