In September, we're back with walks around the estate! As part of our "Outdoor Workshop" series, we'll be taking two walks with Małgorzata Piszczek and Michał Antoni Pieczka. This time, we want to discover what's wild and seemingly invisible to the eye. We'll turn our eyes and ears to the vegetation and wild bird species in urban areas. We invite you to join us on these walks in collaboration with the Wrocławska Spółdzielnia Wrocławska (Wrocław Cooperative).

September is the perfect time to stroll through Grunwald together! During two planned walks, we'll explore the city from the perspective of its non-human inhabitants. With each step, we'll immerse ourselves in a world of greenery, learning about the diverse plant species that inhabit our streets and backyards. We'll discover which greenery can survive the hustle and bustle of the city and how different species of wild birds adapt to life in the concrete jungle. During these walks, we'll not only get closer to nature but also discover the ecological relationships within the urban ecosystem. The neighborhood walks will take place on September 12th and 19th.

About the walk:
The planned walk will aim to familiarize participants with the species of wild birds found in urban areas. During the meeting, which will take place along the streets, squares, and waterfronts around Grunwaldzki Square in Wrocław, participants will learn about specific bird species, their habits, and the survival strategies they employ in cities. Living in close proximity to humans means that their behavior differs significantly from that of birds living in forests, fields, or wetlands. During the walk, the guide will also familiarize participants with the proper methods of feeding birds in winter and birdwatching. Therefore, it is recommended that participants bring their own binoculars. We invite everyone who desires a close connection with nature to the event!
