Цього разу на вас чекатиме коротка лекція про експлуатаційне кіно, яку читатиме organizer кіновечора Софія Чубак, показ film Романа Бондарчука “Vulkan” та обговорення побаченого за чашкою чаю.
Подія має відкритий характер. Попередньої реєстрації не потрібно, вхід вільний. Film showing занглійськими subtitras. Просимо про пунктуальність, бажано прийти за п'ятнадцять хвилин до початку.
Про фільм:
Лукас вирушає на кордон з Кримом у складі моніторингової місії OBSF. Але після дивних збігів обставин, він опиняється у містечку на півдні України, де зустрічає місцевого дивака. Поступово Лукас занурюється у світ української провінції, де життя відірване від усякої логіки чи структури. Містика чи кримінал? Під час фільму ви не раз засумніваєтесь, в якій реальності живе степ і його люди.

Good cinema brings people together
For the second time, we're organizing a Ukrainian film evening. Roman Bondarchuk's "Volcano" will be screened at Odra Centrum on February 16th at 6:00 PM. Everyone is cordially invited. The film will be shown in Ukrainian with English subtitles.
We've just finished screening Ukrainian cinema in December 2022. Your positive feedback has convinced us that good cinema brings people together, and we love good stories, so this is a perfect pairing.
The idea of screening films in Ukrainian was born last November among the Ukrainian-speaking team of the Ładne Historie Foundation. The event is aimed at people who moved to Wrocław due to the war in Ukraine. It was important to us to create a safe and welcoming space with an intimate atmosphere where people with similar interests could meet, have a good time, and learn something new.
As before, the film screening will be preceded by a short lecture on exploitation cinema, led by film evening organizer Sofiia Chubak. After the screening, those interested are invited to join a discussion about cinema over a cup of tea or coffee.
The event is open to the public and free of charge. Registration is not required. The film will be shown in Ukrainian with English subtitles. We strongly encourage you to attend. Please be punctual; it's a good idea to arrive fifteen minutes early.
About the movie "Volcano"„
Lukas heads to the Crimean border as part of an OSCE monitoring mission, but after a strange turn of events, he finds himself in a town in southern Ukraine, where he meets a local oddity. Lukas slowly immerses himself in the world of the Ukrainian province, where life is detached from any logic or structure. Mysticism or crime? The film will leave you wondering more than once about the reality of this small town and its inhabitants.
