July 18th evening roof Student Culture Zones Wrocław University of Science and Technology will turn into a stage for a unique ambient concert. Audiovisual collective late as part of the project The Sounds of Grunwaldzki Square invites residents, students, and anyone interested in musical experimentation to an evening filled with soothing sounds and multi-sensory experiences. This event is not just a concert—it's also an opportunity to experience the city in a unique way. We'll gather on the open-air campus rooftop, where the sounds of deep ambient music will intertwine with the unique panorama of the Plac Gunwaldzki estate. All this in a relaxed atmosphere and without barriers: participation is free and open to everyone, with no prior registration required.

Jesień is a Wrocław-based audiovisual collective specializing in intimate, ambient events that engage all the senses. Their performances blur the lines between concert, club set, and artistic endeavor, creating an environment for a free, individual musical experience.

Each "lecie" performance is a carefully planned experience – deep, ambient, and experimental sounds are accompanied by visuals, space decorations, and even specially composed scents wafting through the air. The artists' goal is to open audiences to new experiences and reflection, without imposing rigid rules of reception. A key element of the collective's work is creating a safe space – a place where everyone present can feel accepted and relaxed. This atmosphere fosters immersion in sound and fosters true interpersonal connections. "lecie" strives to encourage us to look at music differently and spend our free time: both together with others and in touch with ourselves. Thanks to this approach, their events attract a diverse audience – from electronic music regulars to those seeking a more relaxed alternative to loud clubs. The collective has already performed in numerous Wrocław clubs, art galleries, and even at one of the largest electronic music festivals in Poland (Up To Date 2024).

The concert by the "Sounds of Grunwald Square" collective is part of the "Sounds of Grunwald Square" project – a broader initiative that enlivens Wrocław's spaces through sound and brings diverse social groups closer together. The project engages the local and academic communities through close collaboration with Wrocław University of Science and Technology and Academic Radio LUZ. By organizing free, publicly accessible musical events in public spaces and on the campuses of Wrocław's universities, "Sounds of Grunwald Square" lowers the threshold of cultural participation and opens it up to all comers. Events at the University of Technology – like the concert on the roof of the SKS (School Sports Club) – symbolically open the university campus to local residents, demonstrating that university space can serve not only students but all of us. The collaboration with Academic Radio LUZ adds an additional dimension to this event. Thanks to the LUZ_air platform – Radio LUZ's own initiative combining radio tradition with modern broadcasting – our concert will be broadcast live and recorded for later online archive. LUZ_air is a platform that not only promotes local artists but also demonstrates that academic media can reach beyond the walls of universities to share sound culture with a wider audience. The entire project is an example of how universities, media outlets, and artists can work together to create accessible artistic experiences for everyone. One of the project's goals is also to explore the urban soundscape. The rooftop concert is an opportunity to experience the city from a different perspective – delicate ambient tones blend with the sounds of a summer evening over Grunwaldzki Square, encouraging attentive listening. Such events allow us to rediscover familiar places and experience them in a unique way, deepening our sensitivity to the sounds of the city.

Experience the sound of the Plac Grunwaldzki at sunset. Join us on July 18th – whether you're a student at the University of Technology, live nearby, have a passion for ambient music, or simply want to experience something new. Bring only an openness to sound – we'll take care of the rest on-site.
