The next stage of recruitment for the project THE MOUNTAINS WILL CONNECT US. Together we develop social tourism! TIME TO START 

 

This time we invite you to participate in the project:

  • ADULTS WITH MOBILITY DISABILITIES, which:

    • From April to September, they will be employed as experts and will test mountain routes with us in terms of their accessibility and comfort of use.

      Requirements:

      • The ability to communicate and hold conversations freely
      • Openness and willingness to undertake one-day mountain expeditions
      • Experience in participating in the Mountains Connect Us tours is welcome.

        Duties:

      • Constant contact with project coordinators
      • Participation in one-day expeditions according to an individually agreed schedule
      • Assistance in developing route descriptions
      • Sending emails

        We offer:

      • Contract of mandate
      • Care of a trainer/job coach preparing the candidate for action
      • Individually tailored dates for one-day trips
      • Adjusting the level of difficulty of individual expeditions to the candidate's capabilities

We plan to employ 6 people (with whom we will sign mandate contracts), and each of them will be assigned a trainer or job coach who will prepare them for project activities and be at their disposal during the implementation of the tasks.

  • ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES, which:

    • will become our interns in project management,
    • they will support us in the area of minor administrative work,
    • will participate in information and promotional activities.

We plan to accept 10 people for the internship, with whom we will sign cooperation agreements and provide insurance.

  • PARENTS AND GUARDIANS of people with disabilities who:

    • together with our specialist and volunteers, they will take part in mountain expeditions to mark routes, check and evaluate their condition,
    • engage in self-advocacy activities, taking steps to prevent social exclusion through cooperation with local governments,
    • will take part in meetings of the cooperation network of entities working in the field of respite care and social tourism from all over Poland,
    • will promote the approach to respite care and social tourism as an innovative form of respite,
    • will participate as speakers in regional and national events, talking about their own experience and the beneficial impact of active respite care on the well-being of those in their care,
    • Together with us, they will organize and take part in meetings and conferences with local government authorities, where they will talk about their needs in terms of tourism accessibility.

If parents participate in training and meetings, we will always provide care for their children.

Who will conduct the recruitment?

Specially engaged for this purpose JOB TRAINERS, i.e. specialists (psychologists, educators) who provide support to people with disabilities with their knowledge and presence throughout the entire period of work in the project, and MENTORS and MENTORS, i.e. experts who will become patrons and guides for parents and guardians of people with disabilities in the area of self-advocacy activities.

Important dates:

  • We are waiting for your applications for Monday, February 28.
  • From March to June 2022  We will be training and preparing for future tasks both ONLINE and IN-CENTRAL in Wrocław and Świdnica – we have planned as many as 10 interesting propositions for participants with disabilities as well as for parents and guardians.
  • From April to October 2022 Together with our specialist and volunteers, we'll head into the mountains. Our goal will be to test, inventory, and describe in an accessible way the Sudetes mountain trails accessible to people with disabilities.
  • From July 2022 to October 2023 with parents and guardians of people with disabilities  we will take part in meetings of the cooperation network of entities operating in the areas of respite care and social tourism, in study visits, and in national conferences.
