Do you know someone who volunteers, helps others, organizes events, or simply does good work? Or perhaps you know someone who promotes volunteering on a daily basis, supports volunteers, and inspires them to take action?
The Solidarity Corps announced two competitions:
- VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR 2026 – for individuals, couples and groups who stand out for their commitment, creativity and what they do for others.
- COORDINATOR OF THE YEAR 2026 – for people who organize volunteering, support volunteers and care for its development.
Importantly, you don't have to be nominated by an organization. You can nominate yourself, someone else, or someone whose work is simply worth recognizing.
- Applications are due by October 12, 2026, at 12:00 PM.
- Forms are submitted via the SOW or the Solidarity Corps website.

The Competition is organised by the National Institute of Freedom – Centre for the Development of Civil Society, the implementer of the Solidarity Corps programme – the Government Programme for the Support and Development of Systematic Volunteering for 2018-2030, in cooperation with Programme Partners across the country.
