We are proud to announce that we have become a national partner of a project implemented by PFRON – State Fund for Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons and the TAMBIÉN Foundation, within which we will create a model of respite tourism.
On Monday, December 16, 2024, Deputy Minister Monika Sikora took part in the ceremony of signing the agreement for co-financing the project "𝗨𝗿𝗹𝗼𝗽 𝗼𝗱 𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗸𝗶. 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝘆𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗸𝗶 𝘄𝘆𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗷" implemented under the European Funds for Social Development Programme. The budget is PLN 26,812,000 and will be implemented until July 31, 2028. What is respite tourism?
This solution enables people with disabilities and their caregivers to enjoy a vacation tailored to their needs. This project will create a comprehensive tourism model that is innovative, accessible, and supportive of organizations and families.
24 organizations and 1,200 people with disabilities and their caregivers will participate in testing the model.
The project will include:
- tools for organizations providing relaxation tourism services,
- support for families,
- system recommendations and a catalog of available places.
Thanks to these actions, we are moving closer to a more accessible and fair world!
