If you follow our activities, you know that seniors are a very strong and engaged group in the community surrounding the Ładne Historie Foundation. We have a great relationship with seniors from Świdnica and Wrocław, and we often organize various initiatives and activities specifically for people aged 60 and over. Thanks to funding from the Marshal's Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, we will organize over 90 events of various kinds this year!

Swidnica
In Świdnica, we're planning activities for seniors in collaboration with the community around the Intercultural University of the Third Age and regular meetings at the Intercultural Café. We have a wealth of interesting and engaging activities planned specifically for the seniors we regularly work with.
Memory Training with Jan Stark – a series of memory classes that will allow seniors to practice cognitive skills. Thanks to specially designed tasks and activities, participants will improve their concentration, attention, and information processing speed. Meetings will be held twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
Preventive classes with Aleksandra Sypiańska – a series of classes on stress management, building mental resilience, health and a healthy lifestyle, building mental resilience, and maintaining healthy interpersonal relationships. Meetings are held every Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. – May 3, 10, and 17.
On May 24th, we are planning laughter yoga session with Alicja Przepiórska, which will teach seniors how to use simple methods to relieve stress and improve their mood. The classes will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Physical activities For seniors in Świdnica, we'll focus on breathwork, relaxation, yoga, and building a flexible, strong body. Yoga breathing techniques help guide and control breathing and develop respiratory muscles, improving the body's oxygenation. As part of this series, participants will also learn sound massage, a technique that complements other therapies, always leaving a feeling of pleasant relaxation behind, allowing them to experience complete bliss. Staying in a state of relaxation and unwinding is the best preventative measure, allowing us to maintain and enjoy long-term health. The exercise classes are led by Olga Rydleuskaya, and the series begins in April!
If you have any questions about this cycle, please contact Beata Kuzera, the coordinator of this process in Świdnica: beata.kuzera@ladnehistorie.pl.

Wroclaw
Wrocław's seniors are actively collaborating with our Local Activity Center at Grunwaldzki Square. These are not only residents of the immediate area, but also members of several neighborhoods in Wrocław. This year, we are working together through several series of regular classes and meetings, and our group is steadily growing.
In February and May, four attempts were made to initiate the local community Grunwald Choir (February 27th and March 12th, 21st, and 28th). Singing together is a great opportunity to connect and meet new people, so if you'd like to join this group, please contact Teresa, the choir's initiator: t.lamasz@op.pl.
Training with Rafał Czapliński z Natural Forms of Movement It's a local hit – Rafał has been hosting it for the second year in a row, and it's consistently popular. Senior women from Grunwald meet with him every Thursday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Memory Training with Konrad Kocjan This series began this year on February 1st. A group of over 17 seniors meets regularly on Thursdays between 12:00 and 2:00 p.m. to solve puzzles, learn tools to improve cognitive skills, and learn tricks to support their memory. This series concludes on May 9th.
Media and digital education classes with Konrad Kocjan This is a series of meetings focusing on online safety, using useful digital tools and applications, and maintaining a balance between online and offline life. The meetings are scheduled for Thursdays – May 16, May 23, June 6, May 13, May 20, and May 23.
