We would like to share with you our gratitude for the opportunity to organize workshops and outings for children as part of the UNICEF Wrocław Umbrella project, which we have been implementing since the beginning of this year at the Children and Youth Center in Grunwaldzki Square.

Thanks to your support, we organized numerous engaging and stimulating activities for Ukrainian children, fostering their skills and creativity, stimulating their curiosity, and fostering intercultural integration. We've prepared a diverse program to ensure everyone can find something they enjoy!

We held a series of DIY and woodworking workshops, including creating a city model, a photo frame, a desk organizer, and wooden toys. The children also developed their manual skills during art workshops – they learned screen printing by printing their own illustrations on fabric and bags, created their own memory game, and built a circus arena from recycled materials, where they showcased their acting skills.

The culinary workshops also generated considerable interest! During the plant-based cooking classes, participants not only acquired basic manual skills but also developed their eating habits and preferences.

We also held activities during which the children planted plants together in our central mini-garden, which aimed to develop their interest in nature and expand their knowledge about growing selected plants.

In addition, we organized 8 trips outside the Center to GoJump Wrocław for sports classes under the supervision of a trainer, Skate Academy for basic skateboarding classes, Fpinka Climbing Center for climbing classes, and to the Wrocław Zoo.

The project "Organization and implementation of an educational and recreational program called the Center for Development and Activity of Children and Youth" is being implemented thanks to funding from the Municipality of Wrocław (www.wroclaw.pl).www.wroclaw.pl).

The project operator is the Foundation for Supporting Non-Governmental Organizations Umbrella. The task was completed with the support of UNICEF.

The task is carried out under the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) on the basis of the Memorandum of Understanding between the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the City of Wrocław of 9 June 2022 and the Letters of exchange for the provision of support related to emergency refugee response in Wrocław of 09 June 2022.
