We invite you on an extraordinary journey through Świdnica – for the next seven days, from August 18th to 25th, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., we will be setting up our tent-workshop in various locations in our city.
We invite people aged 13-21 to create a social sculpture – an installation in public space. Together, we will design a "Place to Dream" – a public space inviting residents to pause, share their dreams, and see Świdnica as a city full of possibilities. We will create symbolic signposts – signs indicating possible paths leading to the realization of dreams.
What will they look like? Where will they lead? We'll decide this together during our daily meetings.
The creative process will utilize photography, design, street art, and literature. Participants will create their own works, texts, and other creative materials to share their passions and perspectives on Świdnica. We also welcome those interested in organizing the event—it's a great opportunity to learn how to produce such events.

The workshop will be led by Radek Kowalik, a cultural animator, cultural studies scholar, art therapist, and photographer. He works with cultural institutions, libraries, and community centers. His work utilizes film, photography, site-specific activities, and creative interventions in shared spaces. In 2023, he embarked on a 120-day camper journey through the Masovian countryside, leading local creative activities and working with communities in small towns.
The activity is carried out as part of the Youth Year in Świdnica www.swidnicadlamlodych.pl and is financed by the PZU Foundation and the Marshal's Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
