Another great initiative with seniors is behind us! The pre-Christmas sightseeing trip to Lower Silesia was a great success, as the seniors in the neighborhood have been telling us since Tuesday. We're very happy that we managed to organize it, because we know from you that the need for exploring the region and for socializing during such tourist events is significant.

Before we tell you about our trip plans for 2024, we want to summarize what happened on Tuesday, December 19th. Together with a group of lovely seniors, we set off from our center at 8 a.m. A cheerful coach full of heartfelt conversations and neighborly stories soon brought us to Wałbrzych, where we visited Książ Castle and the Palm House. We consider the trip a resounding success, and we're already thinking about future initiatives like this.

The goal of the trip was to promote the region's tourist attractions, which are important for local identity, and to encourage seniors to actively spend their time in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. Thanks to the trip, participants will be able to learn about the history and tourist attractions of Lower Silesia.

Priority for admission was given to residents of the Plac Grunwaldzkiego housing estate aged 65 and over. Beneficiaries of the Municipal Social Welfare Centre, who are at risk of social exclusion, were also invited.

The senior trip took place as part of the project "Senior, senior – let’s start AGAIN!", which is implemented by Fundacja Ładne Historie thanks to financing from the Marshal’s Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
