During the summer holidays, we organized unforgettable activities in four Świdnica courtyards, attracting almost 600 children over nine weeks! Unfavorable weather conditions were not a problem thanks to alternative locations. Using the "Colors of Common" educational package, National Centre for Culture, we combined the five senses with creative workshops and outdoor events.

This year, we met again at the Świdnica skatepark! Over 150 people joined us for the season opening! This event brought a lot of joy – there were entertainment, competitions, and, of course, trick demonstrations by professional freestylers. Throughout the summer, 25 skateboarding, rollerblading, and scootering workshops were held here. And the nearly one hundred participants only confirm how successful and intense this summer was. Many thanks to Impowoods i Juicy Skateboarding School!
Thanks to the support of "„Clean Swidnica”Thanks to a campaign by the Waste Management Department of the Świdnica Municipal Office, we managed to clean up the skatepark, integrating cleanup activities with workshops and competitions. We hope that the skatepark will now be a cleaner and more welcoming space, and above all, safer.

This year, there were also film screenings! As part of Cinema on Blankets, three outdoor screenings were held. Before each screening, Martyna Stec introduced the young audience to the film's subject matter with a lecture. The screenings were a huge success, and the first one achieved record attendance – over 250 people attended! Thank you! Wrocławska Fundacja Filmowa i Electrolux Świdnica for great events!
Thanks to the support of local partners, the commitment of our participants, and the fantastic work of the facilitators and volunteers, this year was unforgettable and truly successful! We're already planning next year's activities and can't wait for more!
Warm greetings from: Świdnica City Hall, Municipal Social Welfare Center, Municipal Police and Volunteer Fire Department, FMP Shelter for Homeless Animals and all those involved in this year's activities!
In the meantime, we wish you a Merry Christmas and lots of peace and rest to regain your strength #LaterInTheBackyard2024! See you next year!
